Tupelo station broadcasts inflation of safe shelter’s dome roof

Tupelo, Mississippi — The walls are up and the airform is inflated for what will be the largest gym and safe room in Mississippi, Tupelo station WCBI reported June 6.

Located at Tupelo High School, the 24,000-square-foot gym has been under construction for six months. FEMA has contributed more than $2 million towards the cost of the building with the district covering the balance.
