Food Business News highlights United Sugars dome

Montgomery, IllinoisFood Business News recently published an article about United Sugars Corporation’s new dome, built by Dome Technology, in Montgomery, Illinois. Click here for the full text.

The dome stands 134 feet tall and 183.7 feet in diameter and can store 60,000 metric tons of sugar. American Crystal Sugar Company owns the facility, and United Sugars Corporation will oversee operations. Filling of the dome is scheduled for December 2017.

The dome is equipped with mechanical systems providing a fill rate of 200 metric tons per hour and a reclaim rate of 150 metric tons per hour.
